This drawer pull does not have the typical Eastlake style back plate. It is simply a rectangle with a highly embossed rose and leaves. The original bail, however, is definitely Eastlake with it 90-degree cornered shape decorated with Eastlake daisies. The plate is stamped brass; the fancy Victorian posts are brass; the bail is steel.
The back plate measures 4 inches horizontally and one inch vertically. The total drop including the bail is 1 5/8 inches. The hole centers are 3 inches apart. The bolts extend 1 1/4 inches beyond the back of the plate. The original nuts are included.
At one time the back plate was coated with a black paint or heavy varnish. Some factories did this before sending the hardware to the retail shops. The back plate could be polished to a bright brass, if desired.
