In the old catalogs, manufacturers advertised different finishes on hardware. One choice was a “japaned” finish. This finish consisted of a black thick lacquer. This pull may be one of those, or this may be an early black paint finish. Either way, we feel that this pull has always been black. It is actually stamped brass with a steel decorated bail which hangs from two steel eye bolts.
The back plate measures 4 inches horizontally and 1 1/2 inches vertically. The total drop including the bail is 2 1/4 inches. The hole centers are 3 inches apart. Nuts will be included for the eye bolts.
