This is a set of stamped or pressed brass Victorian pulls. This particular size is the most popular because they are not too large or too narrow. Most stamped-brass Victorian pulls had steel bails. The stamped brass hardware was cheaper than the heavy cast brass, so they came with the cheaper steel bail. This hardware was more common and used by the general populous.
This set has been cleaned and restored. The pattern has the typical Victorian feathering and “bubbles” on both the back plate and bail. The back plate is 3 3/4 inches across and 1 1/2 inches vertically. The drop from the top of the plate to the bottom of the bail is 2 1/4 inches. This is a pattern that could be used either way–feathers on the top, or bottom.
The pulls are secured with an eye bolt fed from the front and tightened on the back of the drawer with a nut. The set is in excellent condition; There is a small dent in one back plate. All eye bolts and nuts are included. All four bails match.
