This small, narrow Victorian drawer pull is stamped brass with a highly decorated steel bail and steel eye bolts. This piece probably graced a medium-grade piece of furniture at the end of the 19th Century or early 20th Century. The sea-shell motif was very popular in the Victorian era, and we find it on various pieces.
The back plate measures 4 1/8 inches horizontally and 1 1/4 inches vertically. The total drop including the bail is 2 inches. The hold centers are 3 inches apart. The eye bolts extend 1 1/4 inches beyond the back plate. Nuts will be included.
The Old Hardware Store has handled and seen hundreds of old drawer pulls over the last 15 years. We are always amazed at how many different patterns were produced by the American metal manufacturers. If only each piece could tell its journey from then to now.
