This old steel bar latch is meant to be put on a cabinet to keep the left-side door from swinging open. This looks like a shutter bar latch, but the bar does not have a “stop” on it, so this latch will not work on shutters. ,On this latch the bar has a small knob to help swing the bar vertically in and out of the keeper. The right hand side of the latch and the keeper side are placed close to each other on opposite doors, allowing about 1/2 inch, between the two pieces. Each back plate measures 2 1/4 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. These old latches are difficult to find because usually one or the other side is missing. Sorry, we have only one.,Old steel screws will be provided.
