This gorgeous upper door bolt dates prior to 1900. It is cast bronze. The purpose of this bolt was to secure the door at the top. The keeper for the plunger is gone, but one can perhaps find a piece that would work. The lock has a spring mechanism. The chain is pulled to release the plunger.

The back plate measures 5 7/8 inches vertically and 2 inches across.

Screws will be provided.
