This plate comes out of the Victorian era, 1870 to 1890s. It is a front-door plate. The pattern leans toward the Charles Eastlake style. The plate is cast brass but will not shine up to a bright brass. It measures 7 inches long and 2 1/8 inches wide, small by normal measurements of front-door plates. The door knob hole center is 1 7/8 inches from the top key hole and 3 inches from the bottom key hole.
