This Victorian pull, with its bumped-out (convex) center, reminds us of a breastplate. The back plate is cast brass, the swing bail is steel, and the eye bolts are steel. This furniture pull was used on a less expensive piece of furniture during the Victorian era.
The back plate measures 3 7/8 inches across and 1 7/8 inches vertically. From the top of the plate to the bottom of the bail, it is 2 1/2 inches. The hole centers are 3 inches apart.
The decorated steel bail hangs from steel eye bolts that are soldered into the back plate. The bolts extend beyond the back plate by 1 1/4 inches. These bolts are fed into the front of the drawer and then fastened on the back of the drawer with nuts (included).
This pull is as we found it. We have only dusted it.
