This heavy knob set is cast iron. The knobs were made in two pieces, with the top snapped down over the base. The Victorian pattern, with its elaborate leaves and braiding, is on the topside of the knobs, and the underneath sides are also patterned, but with a simple swirl pattern.
The maker and pattern are unknown, but the date on this pair is from 1885 to about 1910.
Each knob measures 2 1/4 inches across the top and 1 1/2 inches deep.
This pair is top quality and in very good condition. A spindle and two set screws are included.
