Some of us really enjoy the feel of cast-iron knobs. The knobs are heavy, solid, and have strength. Each knob in this pair was made in two pieces. The tops were snapped or crimped over a solid iron base, creating what we call a belt around the middle of the knobs. The Victorian pattern is on the top of the knob only.
The maker and pattern is unknown. This pair dates from about 1885 to 1905.
Each knob measures 2 1/4 inches across the top and 1 1/4 inches deep. The pair is in very good condition. A spindle and two set screws are included.
