This gorgeous set has had little wear, and, therefore, is in like-new condition. The ” Chatham” pattern appeared in the Russell & Erin catalog in 1889. The pieces are cast iron with a copper finish. There are two back plates, two matching door knobs, the mortise lock and strike plate. There is no key for this set.
Each back plate measures 9 inches vertically and 2 3/4 inches horizontally. The door knobs are 2 1/4 inches round, protruding from the back plate 2 1/4 inches. The heavy leaf pattern is only on the top of the knobs.
The mortise lock box measures 3 1/2 inches vertically, 1/2 inch thick, 3 inches deep. The faceplate on the lock box, as well as the strike plate, measures 5 1/4 inches long and 7/8 inches wide. Both have the rounded corners.
Screws will be provided.
