This Victorian sash lift was made by the Sargent and Company out of New Haven, Connecticut. This pattern appeared in the Sears Roebuck catalog in 1902 and again in the Sargent catalog in 1910. The pieces were described as ornamental iron, with a bronze finish. The pattern has a Victorian ribbon with a basket-weave accent.
The sash lift is small, measuring 3 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide. The inset is 1/2 inch deep and measures 1 3/4 inches by 5/8 inch. The piece is secured with two screws on the inside of the inset. Screws are not included on this one.
