This cast-iron screen-door set is exceptional in that all the pieces are present; they match; and the lock is in good working condition. This set dates to before 1900 and has the wonderful Victorian motif.
The set consists of five pieces: The box lock that mounts on the door; its keeper that mounts on the door frame; two small door knobs on a spindle; and a rosette that mounts on the back of the door.
The lock box measures 2 1/4 inches vertically and 1 7/8 inches horizontally. There is a locking mechanism which works well. The keeper measures 2 inches vertically and 3/4 inch wide. The two cast-iron knobs are only 1 1/4 inches in diameter. Both knobs match. The rosette measures 2 1/4 inches vertically and one inch horizontally.
Don’t wait too long on this one. It is a rare one. We will included screws.
