This large stamped brass drawer pull dates to the Victorian era, 1870-1915. We are presenting the furniture pull as found; we have not cleaned the dark patina from its surface. The heavy, fancy brass bail is also quite dark because of the years of exposure to the elements. Both the back plate and bail could be polished to a bright brass, if preferred.
The back plate has the seashell motif in the middle with water bubbles or sea foam surrounding it. The bail is heavy cast brass with a similar pattern. The back plate measures 5 5/8 inches horizontally and 2 3/8 inches vertically. The bail is 4 1/4 inches wide. Hole centers are 3 inches apart. The bail swings from brass post-bolts that extend beyond the back of the plate. The bolts are inserted into the front of the drawer and then tightened on the back of the drawer with nuts, which are included.
