This large U-shaped pair of sliding barn-door rollers were manufactured by the Wyeth H. & M. Manufacturing Company of St. Joseph, Missouri. The patent date stamped on the pair is Dec. 18, 88.
You will notice in the photo that one half of the pair has been modified by some yesteryear farmer. One roller (wheel) has been anchored with a bolt so that it is stationery. The other wheel is on a pin and rolls freely from one side to the other. This does not affect the function of the hardware.
The U bracket, that bolts to the face of the door, measures 12 inches long and 8 3/4 inches wide. The wheels are 4 inches in diameter. Each bracket weighs 4 pounds, 8 ounces, or total weight for the pair is 9 pounds.
We have brushed and dusted this pair. The wheels are free and roll smoothly. There are no bolts included.
